A Saba Wind North

A Saba Wind is a premier Captiva Island private estate with over 148 feet of white sand Gulf beach front as part of Captiva’s continuous 5 miles of beach. Unlike any other, and quite a jog! Two homes, A Saba Wind (North) and Saba Winds (South) share this broad section of beach, as well as a tropical garden. A Saba Wind is large, bright, modern, private and charming.   My husband and I rented A Saba Wind North for a week for our family vacation with my 3 daughters and their families in April 2022. The property was very clean and in a great location. The pool was very nice and had a nice table that we could eat lunch at as well as several loungers. We did not go out to eat so we used the kitchen extensively. The kitchen could use some additional dish towels and dish cloths for cleanup. Also, cleaning the dining table would be easier if glass spray was provided. I am sure most people go out to dinner so this probably wouldn't be an issue for them. Also, some of the beach chairs need to be replaced and additional chairs as well as umbrellas would be a plus.
  The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were very nice. We had a great time and I would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives.

  3 couples celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. Great location. Wonderful amenities. 3rd bedroom twins are not made for adults unless you are very short. Keep that in mind. Great pool, beach chairs etc. just book it !!!!

  Our family of 10 stayed in this oceanfront home for the week, and it was awesome! It is a beautiful setting on the south end of the island. The heated pool is between the rental home and the owner's home, and we were afforded privacy and sole access to the pool for the entire week. The pool is great for small children--3 feet deep on both ends and only about 4.5 feet deep in the middle. We anticipated the bald eagles mentioned in previous reviews, and we were not disappointed. They hung out in the pine trees between the house and beach several days. We were also treated to dolphins, bunnies, lizards, and a friendly snake. Fishing off the shore resulted in 12 catches of a variety of fish. A great feature of this home is the screened porch off the back that affords you a view of the lush landscape and ocean. We ate every meal on the large table on the porch. The two sets of double sliding doors that open to the porch also give the home an indoor-outdoor feel that is fantastic. Beach access is so easy that you can run back and forth throughout the day with no issues. As mentioned in other reviews, the downstairs and upstairs are not internally connected, which didn't matter to our group but might to others. The downstairs is like an efficiency apartment with its own kitchen, dining area, sitting area, and bathroom.
  
  While there are many positives to this rental, the best might be the FANTASTIC sunsets. They were worthy of applause every night. And finally, if you've not been to Captiva, be prepared for quaint island charm. Perhaps the only negative was the limited parking in Captiva on nights we went out to eat.
  
  One thing I wish we had known before we went was how well stocked this house is with beach items. There were 10 nice beach towels, at least 5-6 high-quality beach chairs, 2 umbrellas, and 1 tailgate pop-up tent.

  Great house! Lots of room to spread out! I loved that the sliding glass doors opened all the way and opened to a screened in porch. Only negative, master bedroom sliding glass door would not open. Would have loved to listen to the waves while lying in bed.But we didn't call either to inquire about fixing it.

  We enjoyed our stay here very much. Captiva is secluded and very relaxing. the house is made for renters so there are no personal items anywhere to make it "homey", however the beds are very comfortable, the space is large, the kitchen adequately stocked and the pool is a big bonus.

  The location of this house was really nice. When we went, the ocean water was a mess so it was nice to have the pool as a backup. Unfortunately, we had a major ant problem while we were there so we had to keep cleaning counters and making sure that no food or dirty dishes were ever sitting out. There wasn’t a lot of pantry room to store food and no blender for drinks. The lower level is nice but has that musty basement smell. The rooms were nice and the place was clean overall.
