Captiva Cottages are eight vacation cottages on landscaped grounds, right on the water facing Pine Island Sound. Relax among peaceful, natural beauty and enjoy the shared pool. The cottages are ground-level for easy access, and the shops, restaurants, and activities of the Captiva Village are about one minute’s walk.

These cottages are undoubtedly the best value on Captiva Island, offering an outstanding waterfront location and clean, comfortable interiors at a bargain price. They are perfect for extended-stay couples, naturalists, and larger families and groups (rent several cottages).

Cottage 7 has an additional living room and dining room area for a spacious setting to enjoy !!

Smart TVs ( 50 inches or larger) are located in both the living room and bedroom of the cottage!

Captiva Cottages provides beach towels, beach chairs, and a beach umbrella for your day at the beach!

Parking is limited to one car. The dock is now available for use at $75 per night.


All reservations/cancellations are subject to the terms and conditions (policies) of the American Realty Rental Agreement once the reservation is booked thru 3rd party platforms.

Policies include but are not limited to credit card/debit card convenience fees and cancellation fees.

  We were charmed the minute we opened the door. It was clean and very "Florida" - which is what we were looking for. The bed was super comfy and everything we needed was there. It was within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the beach!! There was even a flea market going on while we were there. Great experience - would definitely recommend and revisit :)

  We truly enjoyed staying at the captiva cottage. The cottage was really nice and very well equipped. The pool was well maintained and overlooked the bay. It was a 10 minute walk to the beach. Alan at American rental was fantastic and helped us with some last minute needs. We will be back.

  We have been captivated by Captiva and our stay in Cottage 7 was an important part of the experience. Allan at American Realestate was very helpful to us since we needed to come earlier than expected and leave a day late. The room was well equipped and very clean. The pool and waterfront chairs were very relaxing. The cottage was a short 10 minute walk to the gulf beach . The cottages are also close to the many nice restaurants on the island. I highly recommend the cottages American.

It was the perfect size for the two of us and a great location for the beach, restaurants, and more on Captiva. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The beach chairs and umbrella provided were a great bonus! We loved having the option of using the community pool as well. Customer service was excellent, and overall we would recommend this anyone!

  We had never stayed there but we were there on the recommendation of my cousin who had stayed in the cottages before. Frankly we weren't expecting much since the cottages seemed a bit barracks like online but we were pleasantly surprised. Bathroom was a little small but otherwise everything was great. Kitchen was well equipped and all the rooms were well furnished. I think most importantly the location is fabulous. Right on the bay, close to everything, and very quiet. All in all we had a pleasant stay and would definitely think about going back.
