Captiva House This magnificent five-bedroom home represents the best of vacation accommodations in the Captiva Village area. It is close to the gorgeous Gulf of Mexico beach, and you can walk to everything you need including a variety of restaurants, unique shops, and fun activities.

Your private heated pool and in-ground spa tub await. Warmed water from the spa pours into the main pool through a small waterfall. The main entrance includes a driveway of pavers surrounded by fantastic trees and landscaping.

Spacious Captiva House is carefully designed and furnished to provide for all your needs (and more). An elevator carries you between levels, from the garage and pool level to the upper floor with the master suites.

Up on the roof is a captain’s walk for sunning, catching the sunrise in your bathrobe, enjoying sunset with a cocktail, or just enjoying a nice sea breeze and the view of Captiva’s treetops. This is one of the highest points on Captiva, and not for those uncomfortable with heights.

The grounds on the east side of Captiva House are quite amazing: mature tropical trees, manicured foliage, and flowering plants. On the sunny west side is a private, heated pool. Decks on three levels (plus the poolside patio) face west to take advantage of the afternoon Florida sunshine and breezes.

When you enter Captiva House through the main entrance, you step from tropical gardens into a lovely entrance foyer. Beyond is the living room with its premium furnishings and large-screen HDTV (sorry, fireplaces are not available to guests). Ceiling fans are installed throughout the home. The elevator has three stops: pool and ground level (and garage), main level, and upper level.

  We recently stayed at the Captiva House after rescheduling our trip from March/April due to the pandemic. The reschedule process at the beginning of the pandemic was a nightmare dealing with AMRC. After much back and forth, we were finally able to reschedule before the end of the year. In the end, we were able to work it out.
  
  The house itself is located a very short walk from the beach which was great. The house was spacious and a great layout for the 4 adults and 4 kids that stayed there. The house is currently on the market, and think that affected the amenities (minimal) and condition of the house. It was a lot of little things (like tempermental door handles, pool needs to be painted and cleaned, scratched floors... to name a few), I guess doesn't really matter overall for a week rental, but it just felt neglected. The entire week we were there no one came to clean/service the pool and there was no skimmer for us to clean out the pool debris ourselves. There were a few beach chairs and umbrellas in the garage that we were able to use for the week. Kitchen was adequately stocked.
  We've been coming to Captiva for over 20 years and usually the houses have more amenities. I probably would not choose to stay at this house again until it is sold and/or gets some TLC.

  Only thing that really needs fixed is the shower head in master bedroom, its been that way for the 4 years we have stayed there. The customer service people are excellent.

  The house has been upgraded and an improvement over last year.
  The staff follow up on my request to book us into 1 of 5 properties for 2020 was not up to pair. One email asked me to call to discuss, I did and got msg.machine and no response. One or two other emails said they would call me re:2020 but never did. Finally on our arrival, I stopped at the office and Albert got me the rental to the Martin house.
