Captiva Cottages are eight vacation cottages on landscaped grounds, right on the water facing Pine Island Sound. Relax among peaceful, natural beauty and enjoy the shared pool. The cottages are ground-level for easy access, and the shops, restaurants, and activities of the Captiva Village are about one minute’s walk.

These cottages are undoubtedly the best value on Captiva Island, offering an outstanding waterfront location and clean, comfortable interiors at a bargain price. They are perfect for extended-stay couples, naturalists, and larger families and groups (rent several cottages).

Captiva Cottage #8 is special in that it has a bright full-width porch facing the pool and the bay. Wake up to great sunrise views from your kitchen or porch, or take your coffee and enjoy the wildlife (fish, marine mammals, and abundant birds).

Smart TVs ( 50 inches or larger) are located in both the living room and bedroom of the cottage!

Captiva Cottages provides beach towels, beach chairs, and a beach umbrella for your day at the beach!

Parking is limited to one car. The dock is now available for use at $75 per night.


All reservations/cancellations are subject to the terms and conditions (policies) of the American Realty Rental Agreement once the reservation is booked thru 3rd party platforms.

Policies include but are not limited to credit card/debit card convenience fees and cancellation fees.

Very clean, beautifully landscaped, quiet location where we could see the Sound right from the living room, and right around the corner from all of “the action” in Captiva. The pool was wonderful; we were usually the only ones using it—and it was only a few steps away from our cottage.

  Overall a lovely experience-the cottage was clean and had all the basic necessities. However, the window as well as shade in bedroom would not open and there was no screen in the bathroom window. The bathtub also did not drain when showering. But with those minor exceptions, everything was very nice. Thank you.

  Great cottage. Beautiful location. Convenient to everything. American Realty was very easy to work with and even allowed us to check in a bit early, which was awesome!! The only negative is that we were there during hurricane Elsa. Our cottage and others flooded over night. Not a big deal and obviously no ones fault. It would have been a great gesture by the rental company, however, to check in with us and inquire if everything was alright or if we needed anything.

  The perfect little cottage for 1 or a couple. Conveniently located close to everything with a gorgeous view of Pine Island Sound.   Great little stay on the waterfront. Pretty quiet off season and an easy walk into town. Parking in town would otherwise be a nightmare! Kitchen was fully kitted out, x curiously no cutting board.
  Unfortunately, the dock was ruined and couldn't be accessed, also some grey water odors from the septic near the back units that needs to be addressed.
  All in all, we loved it!

  Had another great long weekend at Captiva Cottages. Everything was clean and comfortable from the grounds to the pool and the dock, but we did miss the Adirondack chairs. We enjoy the convenient bay front location and the easy shady tropical walk to the beach. #8 has a cool 2-way mirror in the bedroom so that you don't missed out on the view to the bay.
