Captiva Cottages are eight vacation cottages on landscaped grounds, right on the water facing Pine Island Sound. Relax among peaceful, natural beauty and enjoy the shared pool. The cottages are ground-level for easy access, and the shops, restaurants, and activities of the Captiva Village are about one minute’s walk.

These cottages are undoubtedly the best value on Captiva Island, offering an outstanding waterfront location and clean, comfortable interiors at a bargain price. They are perfect for extended-stay couples, naturalists, and larger families and groups (rent several cottages).

Smart TVs ( 50 inches or larger) are located in both the living room and bedroom of the cottage!

Captiva Cottages provides beach towels, beach chairs, and a beach umbrella for your day at the beach!

Parking is limited to one car. The dock is now available for use at $75 per night.


All reservations/cancellations are subject to the terms and conditions (policies) of the American Realty Rental Agreement once the reservation is booked thru 3rd party platforms.

Policies include but are not limited to credit card/debit card convenience fees and cancellation fees.

  Overpriced but I guess everything is on Captiva.
  Slight smell of septic system on two or three days but not as bad as some of the other reviews. Definitely "okay." Pool is very nice: clean etc.
  VERY professional, friendly and attentive management. Slight shower problem fixed in a jiffy. Beach umbrella broke. Replaced immediately. Slight screen door problem. Fixed right away. No muss, no fuss.

  Everything was just as advertised and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Right on the inland waterway side of Captiva and a short walk to gulf side. Easy walk to a few restaurants and convenience store. Plenty of room for a couple with a well equipped kitchen AND A COMFORTABLE BED.

  Wonderful couple's cottage in quiet Captiva. This cottage is laid out very nicely and is convenient to both the sound and gulf beach along with shops and restaurants. The kitchen stove could be updated.

  Perfect location for enjoying Captiva & Andy Rosse Blvd. The cabins had their own parking lot and everything in Captiva was so walkable, no need to bring a car anywhere. We loved seeing the sunrise right on the bay near the cottages and taking a quick 7 min walk to the beach to find amazing shells and watch the sunset. Thanks for everything!

  My wife and I have rented this cottage for years, gradually increasing the time from one week to four. We love it! It is on Pine Island Sound, where we can see the sunrise, and a short walk from the beaches along the Gulf of Mexico, where we can see the sunset. It is simply but amply furnished, including pots and pans and a coffeemaker, as well as a compact washer-dryer (no dishwasher). There is one king-size bed (we preferred the previous queen-size) and a screen porch. Captiva itself is wonderful, and it's a quick ride across the bridge to Sanibel, with even more beaches and the spectacular Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge.

  Nice and quiet bayside cottages. They are lovely on the inside with quality tiling. I mean, straight line!! Everything is there. I will be back. They are working on the docking area now. I wish the area had white tape rather than yellow, lol. I realize they had ribbon it off for safety. But i still sat out there and chilled on the water! Nice people. American reality was awesome to deal with.

  After a year of isolation, it felt so great to arrive in Captiva for our annual 3-week spring break. We have rented the same cottage for years, and it is just right for us. It is small, but it is all we need. We can stroll down to the Pine Island Sound waterfront to watch the sunrise, then walk one block to the Gulf beach to watch the sunrise. The electric stove is a little clunky, but that is not a serious problem.

  Cottage #5 was just the right size for 2 of us. It was very clean and stocked with new towels. Great location for bayside fishing and a fairly short walk to the beach. It was so quiet and peaceful! This trip was a postponement due to COVID-19 and we appreciate the flexibility of American Realty and the property owner. This was our 4th year of renting through American Realty and we've always had great service!

  We had never been to Captiva, so we relied on VRBO to give us a great place to stay. We were not disappointed! The cottages are updated inside, and the setting, with a walkway over to the water, was so peaceful. We were able to walk to many restaurants and to the Captiva Cruises boat site, so that saved us any beach parking fees.

  The unit was cute with nice beachy furnishings, very clean and comfortable and most importantly VERY conveniently located as I didn't have a rental car. It was only about 5-6 minutes walk to the nearby Captiva shopping/restaurant area, the beach and Chadwick's Square shopping at the nearby South Seas Resort. I enjoyed sitting out on the screened porch and also in the chairs overlooking the bay just at the end of the pictured sidewalk.Everything was provided including beach chairs and umbrella.
  
  Access to the unit on arrival was a little tricky as they'd recently changed from the lock box but they sent maintenance out immediately to show me how to work the new lock.

  We had such an amazing time staying here, the cottages were adorable and very clean! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! The places had such a great beach atmosphere and cozy! Pool and view were great! We kept our boat at the dock and it was convenient to get around the waterways from here!   Not our first stay and will not be our last at the cottages. Have been vacationing in the area for 40 years and have rented many houses and condos. And now that we only need room for 2 we believe this is the perfect place.
  
  Everything you need for a beautiful Captiva vacation. Excellent location. Sunrise over the bay is good for the soul. The cottage itself is pristine with everything you need. Pool is great. Common area is clean. Short walk to the beach for shelling and sunset.
