The Bay House shares landscaped grounds, a Weber gas grilling station, and a heated pool with the Bayside Tropical Cottages. With its location in the Village Center, you can easily walk to everything you need, like world-class restaurants, unique shops, and fun activities. Rent a kayak and keep it at The Bay House for early morning, when wildlife is most active. Outdoor furnishings make The Bay House lawn a perfect spot for any time of day: sipping morning coffee while watching the wildlife, midday shade under the palms, sunning in the refreshing breeze or relaxing with a cocktail as the evening changes colors. The screened lanai with a direct bay view of Pine Island Sound is a must for an afternoon or evening of watching the boat coast by!

Smart TVs ( 50 inches or larger) are located in both the living room and bedrooms of the cottage!

Captiva Cottages provides beach towels, beach chairs, and a beach umbrella for your day at the beach!

The dock is now available for use at $75 per night.. Parking is limited to 2 cars.


All reservations/cancellations are subject to the terms and conditions (policies) of the American Realty Rental Agreement once the reservation is booked thru 3rd party platforms.

Policies include but are not limited to credit card/debit card convenience fees and cancellation fees.

  My friends and I have rented the Bayside House at least 3 times over the years. It’s location is perfect while working and attending the Island Hopper Songwriter Fest. The back bay views are gorgeous-we enjoy sunrise celebrations each morning! The team at American realty are very helpful and kind. We hope the Bayside House survived Hurricane Ian. We are ready to book for Sept, 2023.

  Since our Family trip to Captiva was a last minute decision our family of fourteen had to split up between two houses. Honestly the Bay House was a concern whether we could fit four adults and four children comfortably but once we arrived that concern turned out to be a non issue. The house was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The children ages 10 down to 2 loved the adjacent pool and there were plenty of beach towels! While the house offered specular Bay side views we knew it would be a bit of a hike for the younger kids and rented a golf cart to ferry beach gear back and forth. Once again Captiva didn't disappoint and Bay House turned out to be a great option for us.

  We liked the cottage but a few things need fixed:
  - the switch\timer for the pole lamp beside the day bed does not work
  - the ironing board does not stand up, needs replaced
  - there is a big draft in the master bedroom from the doors\windows; pillows were propped against the doors to stop the wind
  - supply a smaller pitcher, the one in the unit requires you to take a shelf out of the refrigerator to make it fit

  We are a frequent visitor and always choose this location. The cottages are clean and we've always had the best experience. I do think the team at American Realty Group could have done a better job of communicating about the impending hurricane but they responded quickly to our damage report and took steps to rectify. We had already cleaned everything up but they did send someone out.

  Our week long stay at the Bay House was fantastic! The house was well appointed with everything you need for a nice stay. We loved using the grill outside for some grilled chicken and a chat with neighbors making some fresh fish. I enjoyed the pool and we loved watching all of the boats, birds, flipping fishes, lizards and everything else from the views in the house.
  My mother is unable to walk upstairs easily so this house was the perfect getaway - no stairs! There were also plenty of accommodations throughout the house for visitor safety which was very important to us.
  I would definitely recommend this little gem of a house!

  Lovely house, directly on the bay, wonderful neighbors, 5 min walk to the Gulf beach for breathtaking sunset views. This is our third year at this location. Home used to come with more of the basics left in the kitchen (salt pepper, ziplock bags, ets). It now comes fully stripped of all the leftovers of the last guests. Seems wasteful, but corporate. I guess is the new way. The house is still wonderful and a centrally located gem.

  The Bay House is in a perfect location, easy walk to restaurants, shops and gulf side beautiful Captiva beach. The house is perfect, and exactly as pictured on the website. American Realty staff are helpful, pleasant and quick to respond if anything is needed. Restaurants we liked - The Green Flash, Sunshine Seafood Cafe and for exceptional food, the Mad Hatter.

  It was a great experience, older home than I thought but well maintained. The maintenance people were very responsive to our needs. My family enjoyed the pool and fishing from the pier. In addition everything was within walking distance. Just a plug for YOLO as they had all our rental needs at excellent prices. I would defy recommend this rental.
