Welcome to beautiful Captiva Island, Florida, and paradise! The lovely Sunset Captiva #3 vacation rental home is located in the private, quiet, community of “Sunset Captiva” across from the pool and the beach boardwalk. The community is centrally located on more than 6 miles of spectacular beach on the Gulf of Mexico. There is a pool, dock, two tennis courts, and a recreation area complete with gas grills and picnic tables. It’s also conveniently close to The Village and the finest in dining, shopping, and recreation. This is a place that is great to walk and explore.
Parking is limited to 2 cars. No boats or trailers are permitted.


All reservations/cancellations are subject to the terms and conditions (policies) of the American Realty Rental Agreement once the reservation is booked thru 3rd party platforms.

Policies include but are not limited to credit card/debit card convenience fees and cancellation fees.

This year for the first time we rented a Sunset Captiva house right on the beach and it was fantastic.   GREAT overall location near village yet felt semi-secluded. Very safe area -- good security in association. Private beach walk from villa to awesome beach that was very walkable. Nice foilage dividing house from people on beach yet maintained our view from lower screened in porch and upper open deck (deckboards need replacement -some boards broken/dipping down) Enjoyed fabulous sunsets daily. Great people watching ! (became part of an engagement event as it unfolded before our eyes and she showed us the ring/sent them our pics, etc :) We worked remotely. Good internet -some outlets don't work (downstairs south wall... upstairs guest bathroom on south wall). Kitchen well stocked -- Both K Cup & Mr Coffee makers! Nice appliances - especially the fridge. Upper master overlooking beach/listening to waves was exactly what we were looking for. Other bedrooms with twin beds/ not so much... but price does reflect that. Could you put Queen or king in 2nd bedroom vs. 2 twin beds?
  Enjoyed pool and pickleball court/ proximity to church and 8 bars/restaurants ! Food was excellent everywhere. Gem of an area - unlike anything in Captiva OR stuffy Sanibel. Took 2 long bike rides to Sanibel (one though great Ding Darling nature center and another all the way to the lighthouse !) Sanibel has good biking paths, but full of pedestians, too.
  Will be back to this section of Captiva for sure !

We have been staying in the Sunset community for two decades and this is now our favorite home based on the views of the ocean and easy access to the beach and pool!   We've been visiting Captiva for 11 years-straight now and have stayed at a variety of locations on the island. The pictures on line of the Sunset Captiva community do not do the property is absolutely fantastic! From the pool to the pickle ball courts to the houses...everything is A+ and you can't beat the location just one block from Andy Rosse Lane. We stayed in unit #3 which is beach front and the family had a blast...we will be regulars renters in the Sunset Captiva community in the future:)

  It was a wonderful week at a great house. Location, location, location. The rental was extremely clean, and everything you would need was there. Only exception was the 3rd bedroom..2 single beds put in a closet type space.

  First of all I would like to say that American Realty Group was Fantastic. As the title of this review mentions, the house was great.
  
  There was one issue that really ruined our day and it pertained to one of the other guests or residents in the Community.
  
  On our way back to our house one day, there was a large construction truck that was blocking the road to access our house. I believe someone had accidentally knocked down a street lamp on our street.
  
  There is a small parking lot by the pool with approximately six parking spots that are supposed to be reserved for Golf Carts. I parked my car in one of those spots, had a conversation with the Security Guard (who was extremely nice) and let her know I would move my car later in the day. No issue.
  
  We went down to the beach for awhile (as I was on vacation and didn't plan to spend my time sitting on my steps waiting for a truck to move), and maybe three hours later we walk back to move my car.
  
  As I am stepping into to my car, a lady from a nearby house approaches us as and aggressively asks, "What makes you think you have the right to park in that parking spot when it clearly says golf carts only"
  
  It tried to calmly explain the situation, but she did not seem to want let it go. She became more aggressive, and finally I told her that she would just need to deal with it.
  
  As I got in my car to drive off she started screaming at me saying that I did not belong here.
  
  Ruined that day of the vacation.

  We had a great time at this quaint cottage on the beach on beautiful Captiva Island. We were very pleased with the accommodations from the comfortable beds with nice bathrooms to the well appointed kitchen for those times we felt like cooking in. The laundry room was an added bonus.The living room offered all of the options one needs for entertainment but the screen porch facing the ocean was where we spent most of our time. It provided shade and a fan for cool air on those really hot days and the view was beautiful! There is also a nice deck on the second level for private tanning while still taking in the beach views. The location was perfect and within very short walking distance to shopping and some great restaurants. Although we did not use it, there is a nice pool with BBQ for grilling just a short distance from the home. The only thing missing were comfortable adjustable beach chairs, a cooler and an umbrella. We vacation on the island of St. John every year and the rentals there always include those items. They have the rental home logo on them which deters people from taking them but also provides great advertising for the home rentals. Otherwise a perfect stay! Looking forward to our stay next year!
